ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A strong final round of 284 (-4) lifted Lynn to a sixth-place finish in a field of 18 teams at the Jay Jennison Cup. Lynn's first tournament of the 2025-26 season featured several highlights.
Matthew DePinto and
Cole Ropicky paced the team with scores of +2, while
Joe Houghton carded two eagles on his way to a +3.
Simon Roessler and
Theo Desroches each recorded rounds under 70, and
Sebastiano Mascia tied for the tournament lead in total birdies. Despite rough weather, all three rounds were completed over the two-day event on Monday and Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn posted rounds of 289, 295 and 284
- DePinto (74, 71, 73) and Ropicky (75, 72, 71) finish tied for 28
th at +2
- DePinto shot a 34 on the front nine in round two
- Ropicky moved up nine spots on the leaderboard in his final round, tallying four birdies
- Houghton (73, 75, 71) was one shot back of DePinto and Ropicky at +3 for T-36
- He eagled the Par 5, 546-yard 14
th hole twice
- Desroches closed with a 69 to finish at +4 after rounds of 74 and 77 for a T-47 finish
- He recorded four birdies and just one bogey in his final round to move up 20 spots in the standings
- Roessler (68, 77, 75) also finished at +4
- His bogey-free opening round of 68 was the best round among all Fighting Knights and included four birdies
- Mascia (78, 70, 75) competed as an individual and finished at +7 in a tie for 64
th place
- He birdied both the Par 4, 557-yard 4
th hole and the Par 4, 546-yard 14
th hole in all three rounds
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn was -20 on Par 5's
- The Fighting Knights ranked fourth in total pars (173) and fifth in total birdies (45)
- DePinto tied for second in Par 3 scoring (2.83, -2) while Ropicky tied for sixth (2.92, -1)
- Houghton and Mascia tied for second in Par 5 scoring (4.33, -8)
- Houghton was one of four players in a field of 96 competitors with two eagles
- Mascia tied for first in total birdies (13) with three other golfers
