BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University was accepted into the National College Athlete Honor Society as the Florida Xi Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ) late last summer and the department of athletics has recently announced the inaugural induction class of 23 student-athletes.
The 23 Fighting Knights' that were inducted represent 12 of Lynn's 19 varsity sports, and together, the class boasts a 3.75 GPA.
To be eligible for Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must attend a four-year accredited college or university that is a member of the NCAA, NAIA, USCAA or NCCAA. The honoree also must achieve at least junior academic standing by completing at least 90-credits and must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point average of a 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale).
