BOCA RATON, Fla. - Freshman 
Kiana Rhee-Osorio netted her first collegiate goal to lift the Lynn University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Barry University, Wednesday night. The goal came from a half-volley from outside the penalty area, hitting off the crossbar and into the back of the net. 
The Fighting Knights are now 3-3-3 overall and 1-1-3 in Sunshine State Conference play.   
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- 
Kiana Rhee-Osorio had the opening shot in the 8th minute, narrowly missing the target   
- 
Juliana Torres forced a save with a shot toward the top left in the 17th minute, maintaining Lynn's attacking rhythm 
- 
Emma Geiges fired two back-to-back shots (13' and 24'), both just wide of the goal 
- Lynn continued to build momentum, with 
Kira Adkins and Torres both testing the defense in the 26th minute, though their shots went off-target 
- 
Saga Jontoft challenged Barry's goalkeeper Fernanda Mayrink in the 30th minute, who saved it at the bottom center of the net 
- 
Brooke Auth made her first save in the 32nd minute, denying a low attempt aimed at the bottom center 
- Lynn upped the intensity in the second half, generating eight more shots while limiting Barry to just one 
- Rhee-Osorio struck again with a shot on goal in the 60th minute, but Mayrink made the save 
- Lynn's persistence paid off in the 71st minute when Rhee-Osorio capitalized on a chance and put the Fighting Knights up 1-0 
- Auth preserved the lead with a save from close-range in the 77th minute

Isabella Battista had a final chance to extend the lead in the 79th minute, but her shot sailed just wide of the right post  
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS: 
- Rhee-Osorio had three shots on target out of four 
- Lynn outshot Barry 15-6 
- Auth's recorded her fifth shutout of the season 
- The Fighting Knights have defeated Barry in each of their last four meetings
