BOCA RATON, Fla. – No. 1 Lynn men's soccer survived a double overtime thriller against the SSC's fifth seed, Tampa, in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament semifinals, Thursday. Lynn advanced on an own goal by a Tampa defender just two minutes before the match would have been sent to penalty kicks and remains unbeaten at 14-0-2 in 2024.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Dominik N'gatie and
Fabian Vyhnalek took the first to shots of the match in the 13
th minute
- N'gatie's shot tailed into the Tampa goalkeeper on a chance from 25 yards 21:43 into the game
- Lynn continued to pressure the Spartans with shots by
Luan Barroso Rennstich,
Alex Zedlitz and
Fynn Friedrichs
- The Fighting Knights held a 6-2 advantage in shots through the first 45 minutes

Luis Kiefer created two chances to open the second half
- Tampa responded with a pair of shots in the 48
th and 49
th minutes
- The Blue and White held much of the possession in the second half, outshooting the Spartans 10-0 over the final 40 minutes of regulation
