BOCA RATON, Fla. – Graduate Samantha Wolf and senior Maria Cecilia Pinho combined for 36 kills and freshman Ula Gorjup handed out 51 assists as 16^th-ranked Lynn University captured the Sunshine State Conference Title with a 3-1 win over Eckerd, Saturday on senior day.

The league title is the first for the Fighting Knights since 2019 and they close the regular season at 27-3 overall and 17-3 in the SSC. Lynn is currently ranked first in the NCAA South Region rankings and will learn its NCAA Tournament opponent and location on Monday, Nov. 25 with the NCAA Volleyball Selection Show at 7:30 pm.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn won by scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-17 and 25-15
- The Blue and White hit .287 with 61 kills, 58 assists and 71 digs
- The Fighting Knights hit .378, .379 and .395 in sets one, three and four
- Lynn managed just 10 kills and hit .065 in the set two loss
- The hosts opened a 15-10 lead in the opening set behind a pair of 3-0 runs
- Wolf and Cecilia Pinho each posted a kill and graduate Samantha Blahut added two kills of her own to seal the 25-19 victory
- The Tritons posted 14 kills in set two and opened leads of 10-7 and 14-11
- The visitors sealed the 25-20 win with a late kill and service ace
- Blahut opened set three with a kill and Gorjup added an ace for a 6-2 cushion
- Eckerd hung tough in the third set until a quick 3-0 outburst gave the Fighting Knights a 19-15 lead
- Lynn grabbed the 25-17 victory behind six-straight points to close the third set
- Blahut and Cecilia Pinho each had a kill inside the final six points
- Lynn rolled in the fourth set opening up a quick 6-1 lead
- Cecilia Pinho had three kills in the first six points of the set
- Wolf tacked on two more kills and Blahut added one as the hosts snared a 14-6 cushion
- Wolf and Cecila Pinho capped the evening with a kill each and Gorjup added her third ace for a 25-15 win
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Cecilia Pinho hit .429 with 15 kills
- Blahut added nine kills and a .333 hitting percentage
- Wolf finished with 21 kills (.308), her second-highest effort this fall
- Gorjup finished with 51 assists, seven digs and three aces
- Senior Isabella Gentile posted 25 digs for her eighth match with 20 more digs this season
- Sophomore Fabia Gonzalez Stanton contributed eight kills and 18 digs
