BOCA RATON, Fla. – No. 1 seed Lynn hit .398 in its sweep of No. 8 Spring Hill (25-13, 25-12, 26-24) in the NCAA South Regional Quarterfinal on Friday evening. The Fighting Knights fought off two set points in the third frame to finish the match and reach the semifinals tomorrow against No. 4 Embry-Riddle. Lynn is 28-3 overall this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Lynn, 25-13
- Samantha Wolf started the first set with a kill on a set from Ula Gorjup
- Samantha Blahut and Maria Cecilia Pinho each had a pair of kills on a 5-0 run as Lynn took a 6-1 lead
- Isabella Gentile's ace capped four consecutive Lynn points and a 10-3 advantage
- Spring Hill clawed back to within two, 12-10
- A Fighting Knight 7-0 jolt followed, highlighted by four Aline Olegario kills during the run
- Lynn took a 23-12 lead on Joelle Alexander's ace
- Kills by Wolf and Blahut finished off the set, 25-13
- The Fighting Knights hit .545 in the set

Set 2: Lynn, 25-12
- The Blue and White opened the frame with six straight points, including a pair of aces and a kill by Wolf during the stretch
- Consecutive kills by Fabia Gonzalez Stanton and Olegario gave Lynn an eight-point margin
- Wolf posted her third ace of the match as Lynn doubled up Spring Hill, 16-8
- Wolf and Pinho had a pair of kills each on a Fighting Knights' 5-0 run to lead 21-8
- Wolf's kill, assisted by Gorjup, sealed the set 25-12
- Lynn posted a .500 hitting percentage in the set

Set 3: Lynn 26-24
- Gorjup started the frame with an ace as each team traded 3-0 runs to start the set
- Olegario and Stanton combined on a block for a 6-4 Lynn advantage
- The Badgers used a 4-0 run to climb within one
- A 4-1 Lynn surge was highlighted by two Wolf kills for a 14-10 lead
- Spring Hill tied the set at 17 after taking seven of the next 10 points
- Olegario's kill broke a 19-19 tie but the Badgers responded with a 4-1 run to lead by two, 23-21
- The Fighting Knights fought off two set points on kills by Blahut and Wolf before finishing the match with kills by Wolf and Cecilia Pinho

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Wolf led all players with 17 kills and three aces, while hitting .469 with seven digs
- Olegario added 12 kills on .647 hitting
- Gorjup led all players with 38 assists
