WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball shot 54% from the field in its 67-58 road conference win against Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. Four Lynn players reached double figures in scoring as the Fighting Knights improved to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Five different Fighting Knights scored as each team scored 10 points seven minutes into the game

Channing Chappell's three-pointer gave Lynn a 13-12 lead
- Chappell knocked down three more threes within three minutes of the second quarter for a 25-19 Fighting Knight lead
- Two layups by
Danielle Montelbano gave Lynn a double-digit lead, 29-19
- The Sailfish climbed to within four with 3:29 remaining the half

Trinity Mocadlo made layups to help the Blue and White finish the first half on a 7-2 run and 38-29 advantage
- Mocadlo opened the second half with a three-pointer
- An 8-2 run, highlighted by two traditional three-point plays by
Jess Knight, extended Lynn's lead to 16

Ella Fiore grabbed a rebound and found Mocadlo for a fastbreak layup as Lynn held a 55-40 advantage with 1:47 showing in the third quarter

Karishma Ortiz finished the quarter with a bucket for a 57-43 Fighting Knight lead
- The Fighting Knights took their largest lead at 17 with 7:44 remaining in the game
- PBA used a 12-0 run to bring the score within five, 61-56, with 3:26 left in regulation
- Lynn responded with field goals by Montelbano, Knight and Fiore to hold on for a 67-58 win
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn shot 82% (9-for-11) and scored 23 points in the second quarter
- Montelbano led all players with 16 points and is shooting a team-best 53% (33-for-62) from the field this season
- Chappell went 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and has made seven of her last 11 three-point attempts
- Knight scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and leads the team with 15.4 points per game this season
- Mocadlo (11 points) and Fiore (8 points) each went 4-for-7
- Fiore has 10+ rebounds in two of her last three games
- Lynn held PBA to 33% from the field
