BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 22 ranked Lynn University men's tennis team posted its first shutout of the spring season with a 4-0 defeat of the Florida National Conquistadors, Tuesday afternoon at the Perper Tennis Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn picked up the early team point by winning the top two flights in doubles action
- Junior
Gabriele Felline and sophomore
Yaron Guberman won the top flight, 6-1, over Ignacio Acosta and David Santamaria
- Graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco and junior
Gianmarco Amatiste posted a 6-1 win the second flight over Luigi Stefanacci and Sebastian Fujita
- The tandem of Olive-Blanco and Amatiste are now 2-0 in doubles this spring and both victories have come in the second flight
- The Fighting Knights closed the afternoon by dominating the top three singles flights
- Olive-Blanco shutout Acosta, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1
- Felline defeated Guido Gentile, 6-1, 6-1 in the second flight
- Felline is undefeated in singles this spring at 3-0 and he is the only Fighting Knight without a singles loss
- Amatiste downed Stefanacci in the third flight, 6-3, 6-1
