BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 20 Lynn University men's tennis team posted five wins in the singles matches and dominated the doubles to post a 6-1 win over visiting Ave Maria, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco and junior
Gianmarco Amatiste picked up the first doubles win in the top flight with a 6-2 defeat of Pedro Garcia and Nolan Smith
- The duo is now 3-0 in doubles this spring
- Junior
Gabriele Felline and sophomore
Yaron Guberman collected the team point with a victory at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 win over Gaston Erhardt and Anderson Duggan
- Sophomore
Brodie Young Smith and junior Haktan Garayez won No. 3 doubles, 6-4, over Joao Almeida and Tom Alias
- Felline and Amatiste earned quick wins in singles action
- Felline remained undefeated on the season at 4-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the second flight over Alias
- Amatiste downed Duggan, 6-4, 6-4, in the third flight
- Guberman posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Smith in the No. 5 singles flight
- Garayez collected a 6-2, 2-6, 7-3 win in the fourth flight before junior
Milan Zivkovic closed the evening with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Almeida
