BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Lynn University men's tennis team opened the Sunshine State Conference portion of its schedule on Saturday with a 7-0 shutout of Eckerd at the Perper Tennis Complex. The Fighting Knights are now 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn collected all three doubles matches for the first team point of the afternoon
- Junior Haktan Garayez and sophomore
Aymen Alimoussa defeated Batu Ataseven and Chistian Kearns, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles
- They are 2-0 in the top flight
- Graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco and junior
Gianmarco Amatiste picked up a 7-5 win in the second flight over Mario Kirkov and Marshall Hulett
- They are undefeated at 4-0 in No. 2 doubles

Gabriele Felline and sophomore
Yaron Guberman collected a 6-2 win over Phil Grueninger and Eric Asakura in the third flight
- They are 3-1 in doubles
- Felline opened singles play with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Ataseven at No. 1 singles
- He is 5-0 in singles and 2-0 in the top flight
- Guberman nearly earned a clean sweep of Hulett in the fifth flight with a 6-1, 6-0 victory
- Amatiste defeated Kearns 6-0, 6-2 in the third flight
- He is now 4-1 in the third flight this season
- Olive-Blanco beat Kirkov in the second flight, 6-1, 6-2
- Garayev won No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-2 over Grueninger
- He has three wins this spring and two have come in the final flight
- Alimoussa closed the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Asakura, his first win this spring
