WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 20 Lynn University men's tennis team dropped a road Sunshine State Conference match at No. 9 Rollins, 4-3, Monday afternoon. The Fighting Knights are now 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins took the first team point after winning No. 1 and No. 3 doubles
- Graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco and junior
Gianmarco Amatiste won the second flight, 6-2, over Charlie Putrino and Guillermo Castaneda
- Junior
Gabriele Felline remained undefeated on the season in singles play with a 6-3, 5-5 defeat of Efu Comu (retired)
- Felline was named the SSC Player of the Week on Monday and he is now 6-0 this spring
- Sophomore
Aymen Alimoussa rallied for a win in the fourth flight
- He dropped the first set 7-5 and then collected 6-2, 7-6 (10-6) sets to down Richard Stoiberer
- Sophomore
Yaron Guberman also rallied for a win in the fifth flight
- He dropped the first set 6-0 and then posted 6-3, 6-4 sets to beat Castaneda
