BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 14 Lynn baseball team split its Saturday doubleheader with Florida Tech on Saturday. The Fighting Knights won the opening game, 6-3, but dropped the finale, 7-0. In game one, starter
Bryce Pratt tossed six innings without allowing a run, while
Jesse Robinson and
Leon Paulino homered. Lynn is now 11-6 in 2024 and 3-3 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1):
- Everyone in the lineup posted a hit, as Lynn scattered 11 in the game
- Pratt struck out two batters in a clean top of the first
- Robinson blasted a solo homer to start the scoring in the bottom of the first

Cole Fowler doubled in the next at bat, advanced to third on
Shawn Dougherty's single and scored on
Juan Carlos Camarena's base hit to give Lynn a 2-0 lead after one inning
- The score remained 2-0 after Pratt tossed six scoreless innings
- The Fighting Knights tacked on two more runs in the sixth and seventh innings

Deric LaMontagne singled, advancing Avino to third, and later stole second

Julio Camarena's base hit and LaMontagne scored on
AJ Orrico's ground out to give Lynn a 4-0 lead after six innings
- A pair of singles led to a fielder's choice RBI by FIT for its first run of the game
- After JC Camarena walked, Paulino belted a two-run shot over the right field fence to expand Lynn's lead to 6-1
- The Panthers scored two runs on a home run in the ninth, but a pair of fly outs to right field ended the game with a 6-3 final
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2):
- After posting 10+ hits in six consecutive games, the Fighting Knights were held to just four hits
- Lynn threatened to score in the first inning but a caught stealing and a strikeout with two runners in scoring position ended the frame
- Robinson crashed into and reached over the fence at full speed to make a highlight-reel catch on a foul ball in the second inning
- FIT proceeded to hit two two-run homers, one in the second inning and one in the fifth inning, to help take a 5-0 lead through five innings
- A walk and two singles led to the Panthers' final two runs in the seventh inning
