Jalen Stanton scored late goals to pull Lynn University within one, but the Fighting Knights couldn't complete the comeback as they endured an 11-10 loss to Maryville, Monday. Lynn settles at 2-3 with the loss while the Saints are now 4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Joseph Michalski scored late in the third quarter and sophomore
Connor Zombro scored a man-up goal early in the fourth as Lynn knotted the game at 8-8
- The Saints rebounded with three goals over the next 3:03 for an 11-8 lead
- The Fighting Knights made one final push as Houston scored with 3:33 left and Stanton found the net at 3:00 to pull to within 11-10
- The Fighting Knights attempted four shots inside the final 1:39, but none found the net as the final horn sounded
- Maryville held a slim 37-35 advantage in shots
- Lynn was 22-of-23 on clear attempts, but won just 10-of-25 faceoffs
- The game was tied 4-4 at halftime
