BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University lost its Saturday matinee against Molloy, 12-4. The Lions used a seven-run sixth inning to help defeat the Fighting Knights. Lynn was led by three-hit performances from
AJ Orrico and
Leon Paulino. Orrico extended his hitting streak to 16 games while Paulino recorded his 10
th multi-hit game of the year and fourth straight.
Lynn drops to 12-9 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Julio Camarena and Orrico hit back-to-back singles to start the bottom of the third inning but the Fighting Knights were unable to score in the frame
- Molloy used a single, two steals and a ground out to score its first run in the top of the fourth
- Lynn starter
Matt Tiberia left after five innings, allowing just one run
- The Lions used a seven-run sixth inning to take a commanding 8-0 lead, with help from five hits and Lynn committing one error and surrending two walks and a hit by pitch
- Paulino led off the bottom of the sixth with a double and later scored for Lynn's first run
- Molloy tacked on two more runs in the seventh inning
- Ju. Camarena walked and Orrico singled to start the bottom of the seventh
- Paulino drove in Ju. Camarena with a single and
Jordan Parks rocketed a pinch-hit single to score Orrico
- A double, walk and two singles led to two more run for the Lions in the top of the eight, as Lynn trailed 12-3
