BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's tennis team took two doubles matches and four of six singles flights to secure its fourth-consecutive win with a 5-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic, Tuesday. The Fighting Knights are now 9-5, 5-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn took the doubles point after winning two of the three flights with scores of 6-3 and 6-2
- Junior
Haktan Garayev and sophomore
Yaron Guberman fell to Roberto Binaghi and Luis Eduardo Platas in the top flight, 7-5
- Junior
Gianmarco Amatiste and graduate
Jonathan Olive-Blanco beat Peter Drager and Marko Visonta in the second flight, 6-3
- The duo leads the Fighting Knights with 10 doubles wins this spring and they have won four-straight matches
- Sophomore
Aymen Alimoussa and junior
Gabriele Felline closed with a win over Noah Muyale and Joseph Ramirez in the third flight, 6-2
- It was their third win in doubles this spring
- Felline was victorious over Binaghi in the top singles flight, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3
- He is now 11-3 in singles this spring with eight wins in the top flight
- Alimoussa beat Platas 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 in No. 2 singles
- It was his fifth singles win
- Guberman won No. 3 singles 6-2, 7-5 over Contreras
- He is now 10-1 overall in singles and is on a 10-match winning streak
- Olive-Blanco defeated Axel Reich 6-4, 6-4 in the fourth flight
- He now has seven singles wins
