Camren Santos won 15-of-23 faceoffs as Lynn's season came to a close with a 10-9 overtime loss at Florida Tech in the opening round of the 2024 SSC Tournament, Saturday evening.
Lynn caps the season with a 5-10 overall record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights outshot Tech 40-38 and won 15-of-23 faceoffs, but FIT keeper Jax Francisco made 14 saves
- The Panthers scored three goals in the first quarter and opened the second with a goal for a 4-1 cushion
- Lynn's only goal in the opening frame came at 4:01 from graduate

Jalen Stanton scored at 7:18 in the second to pull Lynn to within 4-2
- Junior
Tyler Van Wart scored at 5:27 in the second and junior
Connor Houston connected on a shot at 4:05 as Lynn trailed 5-4 at halftime
- Murray scored Lynn's only goal in the third quarter at 5:05 but Tech found the net three times and emerged the third frame with an 8-5 edge
- Houston opened the fourth with a goal at 11:10, but FIT scored at 8:37 to extend its lead back three at 9-6
- Lynn rallied with three-straight goals inside the final 8:29 as Harris scored twice and Murray found the net once to tie things at 9-9
- Neither team found the net over the final 6:19 as the game headed for OT
- Tech won the faceoff to open overtime and scored 1:15 into extra time to win the game
