CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced its All-American teams today and Lynn University's
Charlotte Brook and
Sara Ericsson were each named to the Second Team, as the duo continues to earn accolades for their impressive 2023-24 campaigns.
Brook was recently named the Division II WGCA Freshman of the Year, presented by StrackaLine. She also added Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year, All-SSC First Team and All-South Region to her résumé after finishing in the top-20 in 10 of the 11 events she participated in during the season, including two top-five finishes. Last week, at the NCAA Championships, she finished 12th (-1, 215) out of 113 individuals to help the Fighting Knights advance to Medal Match Play. Brook, from Poole, England, is nationally ranked 19th, according to clippd.
Ericsson is now a three-time All-American, having been named to the First Team in both 2022 and 2023. Earlier this month, she garnered All-SSC and All-South Region honors. The senior produced five top-10 finishes in 2023-24, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the NCAA DII South Regional. She followed up the regional by firing an E, 216 to finish in 14th at the NCAA Championships and winning the subsequent match play by three strokes. Ericsson, who is from Stockholm, Sweden, is ranked 21st nationally by clippd. She is the fourth three-time WGCA All-American in Lynn women's golf history, joining Jessica Bradley (2013-15), Samantha Smolen (2013-15) and Helen Kreuzer (2019-21).
