AUSTIN, Texas – Lynn University women's lacrosse junior Kristyn Johnson and women's golf senior Sara Ericsson were both named to the 2023-24 Academic All-America® Women's At-Large teams as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Tuesday. Johnson was selected to the Second Team, while Ericsson was voted to the Third Team.
 
Johnson was one of seven student-athletes on the Second Team with a perfect 4.0 GPA and she is the first Academic All-America in the history of the Fighting Knight women's lacrosse program.
 
This past spring, Johnson was named an All-American by both the IWLCA and USA Lacrosse after finishing eighth in the country in both goals per game (3.95) and goals (75) and 26^th in total points (93).
 
She is Lynn's all-time leader in points (212), points per game (3.93), goals (173), goals per game (3.2), shots (284) and shots on goal (233).
 
She posted a program 93 points this past season while helping Lynn to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
 
Ericsson capped her Lynn career with a 3.88 GPA and she is the first women's golf Academic All-America since 2020-21.
 
Ericsson is a three-time WGCA All-American and is one of just five players to garner three or more All-American awards during their careers as a Fighting Knight.
 
This spring, she was the NCAA DII South Region Runner-Up (-3, 213) and she took 14^th place (E, 216) at the 2024 NCAA DII National Championship.
 
A year ago, she finished eighth in the country at the 2023 National Championships at +2, 218 and she was No. 2 in the nation according to GolfStat with an 820-2 comparative record.
 
She was a three-time All-SSC performer and a three-time WGCA All-South Region honoree.
