SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Lynn University women's soccer won its second game in as many days with a 2-0 win at St. Mary's (TX), Friday. After defeating St. Edward's on Thursday, the Fighting Knights showed no signs of wear, scoring goals in the first and 15th minute. 

Emma Geiges and Talorie Crafton each scored their first goal of the season, while goalkeeper Brooke Auth made five saves. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

- Crafton scored less than a minute into the match, shooting top left past the St. Mary's goalkeeper from a pass by Geiges

- Defender Saga Jontoft applied pressure from the back end with a shot on goal in the ninth minute 

- The Fighting Knights blocked a Rattlers shot at 13:35, leading to a chance at the other end for Lynn 

- McKenna Gardner fed a pass to Crafton, who also found the back of the net on a top left shot to give Lynn a 2-0 lead 14:43 into the match 

- Shortly after, Kira Adkins and Juliana Torres each posted shots on goal  

- Lynn posted seven shots (five on goal) in the first half while St. Mary's tallied six shots (two on goal) 

- Kayla Bradby kept the Lynn attack going into the second half with a shot on goal in the 47th minute 

- Auth made saves in the 50th and 55th minute to preserve the shutout  

- Chloe Murphy attempted a shot at 63:45 before the Rattlers attempted a pair of shots in the 79th minute 

- Isabella Battista posted the final shot on goal of the game in the 83rd minute as the Fighting Knights captured a 2-0 victory 

- The Fighting Knights have started the season 2-0 for the second consecutive year 

- Auth now has seven career clean sheets 

- Geiges posted a goal and an assist 

- Defender Savannah Larsen led Lynn (besides Auth) in minutes played (79) 

- Eight different Fighting Knights posted a shot on goal 

- This was the first-ever meeting between Lynn and St. Mary's
