Fighting Knights net five in commanding victory over Barry

BOCA RATON, Fla. – No. 1 Lynn showed its best offensive effort of the 2025 season in a 5-1 win over Barry on Wednesday evening. Dominik N'gatie scored his ninth and 10th goals of the year, while goalkeeper Luca Clavero made nine saves in the victory.

The Fighting Knights remain unbeaten at 9-0-1 overall and 5-0-1 in SSC play. Barry drops to 4-3-3 and 3-2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- N'gatie opened the scoring in the ninth minute, finding the left corner
- Rui Ferreira found Robin Muenst just in front of the Barry goalkeeper, who found an open N'gatie just inside box
- Clavero made three saves between the 22nd and 40th minutes
- After a turnover by the Bucs goalie, Robin Muenst took a pass from Rui Ferreira and scored just before the end of the first half to give Lynn a 2-0 edge
- Clavero made his fourth save on a long shot in the 58th minute
- After Thiago De Carvalho's shot was blocked, Lucas Vila overtook a defender on the deflection and put a shot into the net at the 75:50 mark
- Just three minutes later, the Blue and White took a four-goal lead
- Jan Rohrling's pass from deep in the defensive zone slipped through two defenders to N'gatie, whose left-footed shot trickled through the goalkeeper
- Junior Smith scored with 3:30 remaining on a shot just under the cross bar for 5-0 score
- Barry was awarded a penalty kick and capitalized for its lone goal in the 89th minute for a 5-1 final

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- N'gatie now has 10 goals and two assists in 10 matches this season, including four multi-goal games
- Muenst has two goals and an SSC-leading seven assists in 2025 after recording his second three-point game of the season
- Vila had a goal and an assist in 28 minutes of action
- Ferreira had a pair of assists and played the full 90 minutes
- Rohrling picked up his first assist of the year and fourth as a Fighting Knight
- Clavero made a season-high nine saves and is now 45-4-11 in his Lynn career
- Lynn leads the SSC in goals (23) and goals per game (2.3)
- The Fighting Knights hold a 25-13-6 all-time record against Barry, with their five goals representing the most they've scored against the Buccaneers
