Muenst nets hat trick as Fighting Knights celebrate Senior Night with 4–0 win

BOCA RATON, Fla. – A dominant first half led Lynn to a 4-0 win against Eckerd on Senior Night at Bobby Campbell Stadium on Saturday. Robin Muenst recorded a hat trick to help the Fighting Knights close their season with a win. The Blue and White finish the regular season at 11-2-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the Sunshine State Conference.

Prior to the match, 13 Fighting Knights were honored: Paul Brauckmann, Luca Clavero, Marc Ehmann, Fynn Friedrichs, Mike Guzman, Barret Klapprodt, Anton Mand, Myles Petrie, Matthew Preiss, Jan Rohrling, Junior Smith, Fabian Vyhnalek and Max Werner

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Following a corner, Fabian Vyhnalek's cross was headed into the goal by Marc Ehmann for a 1-0 score just 9:08 into the match
- Less than three minutes later, Muenst had space from a pass by Luan Barroso Rennstich and punched in a second Lynn goal
- Muenst scored on Lynn's next shot, finding the back of the net on a shot that clipped the inside of the post with assists going to Junior Smith and Vyhnalek
- Eckerd had a chance inside the box following a penalty but a shot went high to keep the score at 3-0
- Lucas Vila's shot painted to the top right corner was saved by the Tritons keeper in the 27th minute
- Muenst recorded the hat trick in the 41st minute
- Ferreira found Muenst in tight space just inside the box and his shot caromed off the goalkeeper and into the net to give the Fighting Knights a 4-0 lead
- Goalkeeper Luca Clavero made a save to start the second half
- Vyhnalek took a pair of shots in the 60th and 61st minutes

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Muenst now has six goals this season and four in his last two matches
- Vyhnalek (6) ranks second on the team in assists to Muenst (8) this season
- Clavero made three saves for his 31st career shutout
- Lynn has outscored Eckerd 18-0 at home since 2016 (six matches)

UP NEXT:
- The Fighting Knights have clinched the No. 2 seed in the SSC Tournament and will host a first-round match at Bobby Campbell Stadium on Monday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 pm against a TBD opponent
