BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball opened its 2025-26 season in commanding fashion, defeating Christian Brothers 68-52 on Friday afternoon. The Fighting Knights led for more than 38 minutes as freshmen
Tessa O'Leary and
Angelina Deleon made an immediate impact, combining for 36 points on 14-of-20 shooting (70%) in their collegiate debuts.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn held CBU to 20% shooting in the first quarter, outscoring them 15-8

Trinity Mocadlo got the ball rolling for the Fighting Knights, pouring in seven points and three rebounds in the opening frame

Emily Jean-Glaude came off the bench and added four points and four rebounds in the first quarter
- Her three-pointer with 6:51 remaining gave Lynn a lead it would not relinquish
- Each team made five field goals in the second quarter as
Angelina Deleon led all Fighting Knights with seven points in the quarter – including 4-for-4 from the free throw line
- The Blue and White led 31-25 at the break
- Lynn started the second half the same as the first by outscoring the Buccaneers by seven points in the quarter

Danigzy Mantilla opened the second half with a three-pointer to give Lynn a nine-point lead
- A 7-0 run gave Lynn a 49-33 lead with 1:31 remaining the third quarter

Tessa O'Leary shot a perfect 4-for-4 in the period, including 2-for-2 from deep, for 10 of her game-high 20 points
- The Fighting Knights scored 19 points in the fourth quarter as Deleon was 4-for-4 in the final frame to add nine more points
- Lynn led by as many as 21 before the buzzer sounded for a 68-52 final
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn had a 45-14 advantage in bench points and 44-31 lead in total rebounds

- Deleon (19), O'Leary (17) and Mocadlo (13) all reached double figures in scoring
- Mocadlo had a game and career-high nine rebounds

Hannah Wentworth was a game-high +23, adding six rebounds, four assists and two steals

- Lynn is 4-0 all time against Christian Brothers, with an average winning margin of 15.5
