ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Lynn women's basketball held on for a 68–64 win at Claflin on Tuesday evening. The Fighting Knights led wire-to-wire in their first road game of the season. The Panthers trimmed the deficit to one point in the final minute, but Lynn converted at the free-throw line to close out the victory.
Trinity Mocadlo paced the team with 16 points, while
Serena Baker (15) and
Katie Tiffan (11) also reached double figures. Lynn improves to 2-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tiffan opened the night with an offensive rebound and three-point play

Angelina Deleon followed with a three for a 6-0 Lynn lead
- Lynn went up 17-10 after an
Emily Jean-Glaude layup and a Baker three
- Claflin cut the margin to one before Lynn closed the quarter with threes from Mocadlo and
Hannah Wentworth for a 23-16 lead
- Mocadlo hit back-to-back threes to extend the advantage to 31-23
- Baker's three-point play pushed the lead to its largest point at 36-25
- Two quick Claflin buckets to start the second half trimmed the margin to four
- An 8-2 Lynn run capped by a Tiffan jumper restored a double-digit lead
- Lynn led 51-44 entering the fourth
- Jean-Glaude knocked down a three for a 56-48 lead with 8:16 left

Tessa O'Leary finished a driving layup to keep the lead at eight with 4:32 remaining
- An 8-1 Claflin surge pulled the Panthers within one at 63-62
- Wentworth hit two free throws to push the margin back to three
- Claflin answered quickly to make it a one-point game again
- Mocadlo and Baker hit key late free throws, and Claflin missed a shot in the paint with eight seconds left
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Mocadlo increased her team-leading scoring average to 14.3
- Baker went 2-for-4 from three and posted a season-high 15 points
- Tiffan set career highs with 30 minutes, 11 points and seven rebounds
- Deleon added nine points and a game-high nine rebounds
- Wentworth logged a game-high 38 minutes
- Lynn shot 55% (6-for-11) in the second quarter
- The Fighting Knights made 10 free throws in the fourth and finished 78% (14-for-18) from the line
- After grabbing 13 offensive rebounds in their first two games, the Fighting Knights set a season high with 14
