Sharp shooting helps Lynn build 26-point lead in 76–65 win

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Five Fighting Knights scored in double figures as Lynn led by as many as 26 in a 76-65 non-conference home win over Valdosta State on Tuesday afternoon. Lynn shot 52% from the field and 85% from the free-throw line. The Fighting Knights are now 4-1 overall this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blazers led 4-0 early and 8-6 with 5:38 remaining in the first quarter
- Hannah Wentworth's three-pointer gave the Fighting Knights a lead they would not relinquish
- Wentworth's three started a 9-0 Lynn run, highlighted by four points from Tessa O'Leary
- O'Leary's layup put Lynn ahead 23-14 through 10 minutes
- Trinity Mocadlo's three-pointer pushed the margin to 10 with 8:10 showing in the second quarter
- Another 9-0 Lynn run, with Angelina Deleon scoring four points over the stretch, made the score 35-18
- The Fighting Knights doubled up the Blazers, 44-22, at the half
- A steal by Mocadlo led to Katie Tiffan's bucket for a 23-point Blue and White lead
- O'Leary scored five of Lynn's final seven points of the third quarter to take a 59-39 advantage to the final frame
- Serena Baker's put-back gave Lynn its largest lead at 26, 70-44, with 5:40 remaining in regulation
- The Blazers fought back over the final five minutes but Lynn kept the margin at double figures

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn scored 44 points in the first half on 65% shooting (13-for-20) and 50% from three (6-for-12)
- Tiffan led all Fighting Knights with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting
- She has scored 15 points in back-to-back contests
- Mocadlo added 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and a game-high four steals
- She has scored at least 13 points in all five games this season
- Deleon (12), O'Leary (11) and Wentworth (10) also scored in double figures
- Baker and Deleon were a game-best +24 in plus/minus
- Lynn's 52.2 field-goal percentage is its highest in a game since shooting 54.0% in a win at PBA on 12/7/2024
