Second-half surge lifts Fighting Knights to fourth straight win

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn men's basketball defeated Emmanuel (Ga.) 83-76 in its final game at the PBA Thanksgiving Classic at Rubin Arena on Saturday afternoon. Tied at the half, Lynn shot 57% (17-for-30) over the final 20 minutes to earn its fourth straight win and improve to 4-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emmanuel opened with a 5-0 lead before a tip-in from Matthew Puodziukaitis and a three from Max Polk tied the game
- After Braydon Iuli scored inside, the Lions used a 9-2 run to go up 23-14
- Lynn responded with a 12-2 run, capped by an offensive board and put-back from John Roland, to take a 26-25 lead
- Noah Kattan knocked down a three with 2:06 left in the half to put Lynn back in front
- The teams entered the break tied at 33
- Iuli scored Lynn's first five points of the second half
- A 10-0 run pushed the Fighting Knights ahead, highlighted by two Polk threes and a dunk from Frederiks Meinarts
- Polk buried another three to give Lynn its largest lead, 55-41, with 12:33 left
- Justin Bubak connected from deep to stretch the margin back to double digits at 62-51
- JP Baron grabbed a rebound and Polk found Roland for a jumper to make it 70-59 with 5:14 remaining
- Austin Vick knocked down two free throws for a 13-point advantage before Emmanuel cut the deficit with a 15-7 run, making it a two-possession game with 31 seconds left
- Emmanuel missed its final three attempts as Iuli sealed the win with two free throws for the 83-76 final

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Polk scored a team-high 18 points and went 5-for-9 from three
- Iuli filled the box score with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block without a turnover
- Roland is averaging 13 points over his last four games while shooting 69% (22-for-32)
- Meinarts posted a season-high 12 points in 14 minutes
- The Fighting Knights matched their season low with eight turnovers and forced 20 Lions turnovers
- Lynn recorded double-digit steals (11) for the third time in five games
- The Blue and White scored 50 second-half points while shooting 57% from the field and 46% from deep
