Muenst’s monster week leads to SSC honors

ORLANDO, Fla. – Lynn University graduate student Robin Muenst has been named the Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.

The Stuttgart, Germany native delivered an outstanding offensive performance, totaling four goals and one assist to help the Fighting Knights to a pair of wins over conference opponents.

Muenst opened the week by leading Lynn to a 2-1 victory over No. 17 Florida Tech, contributing both a goal and an assist. He put the Fighting Knights ahead with a strike in the 30th minute, then set up the game-winning goal in the 65th minute with a pinpoint cross to Marc Ehmann, who headed home the decisive score.

He followed that performance with a career day on Senior Night, netting the first Lynn hat trick since 2017 (Alun Webb) in a 4-0 win over Eckerd. All three of his goals came in the first half, powering the Fighting Knights to an early and commanding lead.

Across the two matches, Muenst was remarkably efficient, scoring four goals on just six shots. He now leads the SSC with eight assists and ranks fourth in total points (20) this season.

Muenst's consistent playmaking and finishing touch have been key to Lynn's success this fall as the Fighting Knights closed the regular season strong and look ahead to postseason play. Lynn will host Saint Leo in the first round of the SSC Tournament on Monday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 pm.
