WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn captured a thrilling 64-62 overtime victory on the road against Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday evening.
Angelina Deleon's buzzer-beating layup gave the Blue and White their sixth straight win. The conference clash featured eight ties and 13 lead changes as
Trinity Mocadlo (19),
Hannah Wentworth (15) and Deleon (10) all scored in double figures for Lynn.
The Fighting Knights are now 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wentworth knocked down a three on Lynn's first shot of the game
- Baskets by
Katie Tiffan and
Emily Jean-Glaude brought the Fighting Knights within one, 10-9
- Mocadlo was fouled and made both free throws to close the first quarter with the score tied at 13

Tessa O'Leary's traditional three-point play started the second frame
- A Sailfish run put the home team ahead by five, 26-21
- Lynn closed the first half on a 6-0 spurt to lead by one at the half, highlighted by a three from Mocadlo and
Serena Baker's tip-in at the buzzer
- Wentworth started the second half with a three for Lynn's first points coming out of the break
- Baker assisted a bucket by Deleon to put the Fighting Knights ahead by five, 40-35
- O'Leary's steal led to a layup by Mocadlo for an eight-point Lynn lead
- A pair of PBA three-pointers closed the frame as the margin was cut to two
- The Sailfish run continued into the fourth quarter as Lynn trailed 51-46
- Wentworth stopped the surge with another three-pointer
- Deleon found Tiffan for a three-pointer to tie the game at 56 with 1:48 left in regulation
- Down by two with 12 seconds showing on the clock, Mocadlo drove to the paint and finished to send the game to overtime
- Back-to-back offensive rebounds led to another Mocadlo basket to start overtime
- Palm Beach Atlantic tied the game at 62 with 38 seconds remaining and later had possession with the shot clock off
- Deleon blocked a PBA jumper and possession went to Lynn with 4.7 left
- On an inbounds play, Mocadlo caught the ball at the baseline, spun towards the hoop and found a cutting Deleon for the game-winning layup at the buzzer
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Mocadlo had a season-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists, including the game-winning helper
- 11 of Wentworth's 15 points came in the second half and she has made 12 threes over her last three games
- Deleon set season highs in minutes (38) and steals (2), while she reached double figures in scoring for the fifth time in eight games played
- Tiffan had a game and season-high 11 rebounds and has recorded three games with at least 10 rebounds this season
- Lynn's 7-1 start to the season is its best since the 2013-14 campaign
- The Fighting Knights are 7-0 when making at least 20 field goals
- Mocadlo's 19 points are tied for the most by a Lynn player this season (Deleon vs. Christian Brothers on 11/14)
- Lynn is 7-2 against PBA since 2022
