TAMPA, Fla. - Lynn volleyball saw its postseason run come to a close on Friday afternoon, falling to Sunshine State Conference rival Barry in straight sets (25-18, 25-21, 25-21) in the second round of the NCAA South Regional at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center in Tampa. The Fighting Knights competed point-for-point throughout each frame and showcased balanced offensive production, but the Buccaneers used timely service runs and late-set execution to pull away and secure the postseason victory

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Barry, 25-18
- The opening set featured back-and-forth action early, as
Brooke Jackson,
Zara Rendic, and
Lillia Neill each found the floor to keep the score tight through the opening points
- After trading leads into the middle of the set, Barry began to gain momentum behind efficient attacking and pressure from the service line, creating separation with a 5-2 run to move in front 9-6
- Lynn answered with consecutive kills from Jackson to briefly pull even at 9-9, but the Buccaneers quickly responded with a strong offensive push to reclaim control
- Barry extended the lead behind timely substitutions and steady serving, including back-to-back service aces that pushed the margin to 18-14 and forced a Lynn timeout
- Despite late kills from
Nadia Rossi and a service ace from Rendic, Barry closed the set with sustained pressure, finishing on a decisive run capped by a service ace to secure the opening set, 25-18
