BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn baseball suffered a 3-0 defeat to No. 3 Catawba on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Knights' leadoff hitter reached base in three straight innings, but Catawba's pitching staff kept the Blue and White offense in check, resulting in an 0-2 start to the season for Lynn. David Judge provided a bright spot, collecting two more hits in the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Ryan DiMaggio picked off a runner in a scoreless top of the first
- Three singles, two walks and a hit-by-pitch led to two Catawba runs in the top of the second inning
- Judge and
Juan Carlos Camarena singled in a scoreless bottom half of the second

Blake Mayberry was stranded on second after leading the third inning off with a walk

Justyn Hart left runners stranded on second and third by inducing a groundout to shortstop

- Catawba scored its final run on a two-out single to right in the top of the seventh
- The Blue and White went down in order in the eighth and ninth innings for a 3-0 final
