Ruiz grabs 3rd win of year at Lady Moc Classic, Fighting Knights rally to finish in 2nd

LAKELAND, Fla. – Amelia Ruiz Topali continued her incredible season, tacking on her third win of the season in the rain-shortened Lady Moc Classic on Tuesday, finishing at -4 with rounds of 69 and 71. The two-round event saw the No. 8 Fighting Knights rally in the final round, moving up four spots to second place – just one stroke away from a tie with top-ranked Anderson (SC). The team was +1, 289 over the final 18 to tie for the best second half score.

The Blue and White excelled in a field with 12 of the top 25 teams in the country, overcoming cold and rainy conditions to post their sixth consecutive top-four finish to start the 2024-25 season. "It was a really good day," Lynn head coach Keith Larson stated. "We played outstanding and nearly caught the number one team in the country down the stretch. I'm proud of this team."
