INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Lynn men's basketball earned a bid to the 2025 Division II Men's Basketball Tournament after going 20-8 and reaching the semifinals of the SSC Tournament. The Fighting Knights are a five seed in the South Regional bracket and will face Valdosta State in the opening round on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 pm.
Lynn has made its mark this season with three-point shooting and by protecting the ball. The Fighting Knights rank second in the nation in three-pointers per game (13.2), setting a program record for makes in a season (369). They rank third overall in assist/turnover ratio (2.06) and sixth in turnovers per game (9.4).
The Fighting Knights boast a deep rotation of talented players, highlighted by All-SSC First Team and All-SSC Tournament Team forward
Leo Beath, who led the team in scoring (18.1) and rebounding (9.1), and All-SSC Second Team guard
Carson Smith, who made 219 three-pointers on 42% shooting and led the team in steals (2.0). Smith and
Jordan Wilkins are the only two teammates in the country to each average over three three-pointers per game.
The NCAA South Region Tournament will take place at Rick Case Arena with top-seeded Nova Southeastern serving as the host. The Blue and White last made the NCAA Tournament in 2019 and made a run to the Sweet 16.
