BOCA RATON, Fla.- The Lynn University softball team came up short in a hard-fought 4-3 contest against Barry on Friday evening. In the bottom of the seventh, the Fighting Knights rallied to force a one-run game with two outs before a caught stealing play sealed the game in favor of the Buccaneers.

Lynn fell to 14-19 overall and 0-13 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn got things rolling early in the bottom of the first as
Kyra Sunga and
Anabel O'Donnell strung together back-to-back base knocks
- Following a Buccaneer error, the Fighting Knights loaded the bases before
Aiyana Hicks dropped a single over the third baseman's head to score two runs for the Blue and White, 2-0
- Barry struck back in the top of the second, taking a 3-2 lead on one hit and three miscues
- The Bucs went on to add a run onto their lead in the third, 4-2
- After a few scoreless innings, the Fighting Knights went into the bottom of the seventh with a two-run deficit
- The Blue and White put together a rally in the seventh as Tegan Riley knocked a ball though the infield to bring home
Aun'Yale Howard, 4-3
- With runners on the corners, Lynn was caught stealing to end the game in a hurry, 4-3

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Pitcher
Madi Prickett (7-11) went all seven innings, allowing four runs (all unearned) on just three hits
- Prickett finished the game with seven strikeouts and three walks
- Howard tallied four stolen bases, the most bases she's swiped in a game this season.
- Lynn out-hit Barry 11-3 in the game
- Sunga and Howard each had multi-hit performances with three knocks apiece
- Hicks led the way with two RBI in the contest
