Leo Beath was named to the First Team while graduate
Carson Smith earned a spot on the Second Team.
Beath's impressive first season as a Fighting Knight included ranking seventh in the SSC in points (17.8), third in rebounding (9.1) and sixth in assist/turnover ratio (2.0). He posted eight double-doubles and was one of ten Division II student-athletes to record a triple-double, tallying 14 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in a win versus Florida Tech on Feb. 12. With Beath's nomination, Lynn has now featured a First Team All-SSC player 13 total times.
Smith's graduate season with Lynn saw him lead the SSC in three-pointers made (3.2), while ranking second in assist/turnover ratio (3.2), third in three-point field goal percentage (41.2%), fifth in steals (1.9) and 13th in points (16.4). His 86 three-pointers made (and counting) are currently the third-most in a single season in program history (record is 97). Both Beath and Smith have reached double figures in scoring in 26 of Lynn's 27 games.
The 20-7 Fighting Knights are the third seed in the SSC Tournament and will face No. 2 Florida Southern in Lakeland for a semifinal matchup tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m.
