DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Lynn men's and women's track each took fourth place at the Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday.
The men were led by
Paul Mosley, who was named Male Athlete of the Meet after winning both the 100m and 200m.
Collin Clark had the top time in the 400m, while
Luke Sweatman added a pair of top-three finishes. The men also added a victory in the 4 x 400 relay.
The women also ran a strong 4 x 400 relay to take second place.
Mira Akan, who was a part of that relay group, also had two third place (100m, 400m hurdles) and one fourth place (100m hurdles) finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
MEN:

Paul Mosley had the top time in the 100 Meters (10.40) and the 200 Meters (20.61)

Collin Clark won the 400 Meters in 47.29 and finished fifth in the 200 Meters in 21.81

Justin Dewar (5

Isaiah Bryant (9
th - 49.44) also finished in the top 10 in the 400 Meters

Luke Sweatman ran the 800 Meters in 1:51.98 to take second place, while
Lucas Oliveira (9

th place with a time of 16:01.64 in the 5000 Meters

th place) had Lynn's top time in the 10000 Meters at 34:04.38, followed by
Christopher Cotilla (34:36.35) and Juliano (36:51.81)
- The Fighting Knights won the 4 x 400m Relay in 3:13.96 – ran by Dewar, Mosley, Clark and Bryant
- Donaldson, Oliver, Hobbs and Gusmano finished fifth in the 4 x 100 Meter Relay (43.08)
WOMEN:

Mira Akan finished fourth in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.82 – 0.72 off the top mark
- Lynn had three of the top seven times in the 100 Meters, with Akan (3
rd – 12.24),
Makayla Lewis (6
th – 12.60) and
Tessa Bray (7
th – 13.08) all reaching the final run
- Bray also took eighth in the 200 Meters with a time of 25.97
- The Blue and White had four of the top 11 times in the 400 Meter Hurdles with Akan placing third (1:05.59),
Abigail Brown placing eighth (1:11.36),
Brooke Bond placing 10
th (1:12.10) and
Davyn Dreibelbis placing 11
th (1:12.65)
- In the 800 Meters,
Lily Koch (12

- Lombardo (15

- Smith, Bray, Giustino and Akan combined for a time of 4:00.01 in the 4 x 400 Meter Relay to finish in second place
- The team of

Kalei McPherson and Howard ran the 4 x 100 Meter Relay in 50.49 to take fifth place
