BOCA RATON, Fla. – In a dramatic Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse Semifinal, the Fighting Knights jumped out to an early lead and held it for almost the entirety of the game, but a late goal from Rollins sealed a 12-11 defeat for Lynn on Wednesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights went on a 4-0 run in the opening minutes of the first quarter

Camren Santos won the next face off and ran to goal to make it 2-0 for Lynn just seconds later

Mario Leone scored the third goal after Lynn won its third face off so far with 12:46 left in the period
- Rini found his first goal of the night just two minutes later off a feed from
Jackson Cutter to make it 4-0
- Rollins scored two goals in the quarter
- Hoskins closed out Lynn's scoring in the first from an assist by Ethan Mckinley. 5-2
- The Tars scored first in the second period in the eight minute then scored a second just a minute later, 5-4
- McKinley found the back of the net with 6:11 to play to give Lynn a two-goal lead, 6-4
- To start the third period Santos won the face off to allow
Dom Veratti to assist Leone in his second goal of the night to make it 7-5
- Hoskins made it 8-5 with 10:39 in the period with an assist from Rini
- Hoskins returned the favor to Calleri just under the two-minute mark after a good clear attempt, 9-7
- In the fourth quarter Rollins went on a four-goal run to take its first lead of the game, 11-9
- Rini scored his second goal with 3:15 left in the quarter to make it a one-goal game, 11-10
- After Santos won the next face off Veratti scored off a feed from Calleri to equalize the score, 11-11, with just under three minutes to play
- Rollins scored with 41 seconds left to win the game 12-11
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn finished the game with 20 of 34 shots on goal
- Santos won 11 face offs, his third highest this season
- He also won a game-high five ground balls
- Rini and Calleri each scored two goals and had one assist each
Rini and Leone are tied for second most goals scored this year with 19
- Hoskins earned two goals and two assists on the night, racking his total to 17 goals and 16 assists in 2025
- This is his 11th game in 2025 where he made more than 10 saves
