FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Lynn University softball team wrapped up the 2025 regular season on Saturday afternoon when it fell to 19th-ranked Nova Southeastern on the road. NSU took the first game of the day in a tight 2-0 contest before downing the Fighting Knights in the series finale, 9-4.

Lynn finished its season 21-29 overall and 7-23 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1):
- The Sharks scored the first runs of the game in the bottom of the second, recording two runs on four consecutive walks and a sacrifice fly to take an early 2-0 lead

Gabriella Lindsey allowed just two hits from the second inning onward
- Lynn got its offense rolling in the fourth, utilizing an NSU fielding error to advance a runner to third base
- Lindsey got the Fighting Knights out of a jam in the bottom of the sixth, stranding two Sharks to send Lynn to the seventh down by just two runs
- With two outs in the top of the seventh,
Teagan Riley lined a base knock to center field for the Blue and White's first hit of the contest

Cameron Buzzell took a walk to put two runners on before the Fighting Knights suffered a strikeout to seal game two for the Sharks, 2-0

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2):
- The Blue and White struck back to kick off game two as
Aun'Yale Howard crossed home plate on a miscue by the pitcher

Onnalee Floriano kept the first inning rally going with an RBI bunt to score
Kyra Sunga from home and put Lynn up 2-0
- Nova Southeastern snatched the lead right back in the bottom of the frame, scoring three runs on two Lynn errors and two walks, 3-2
- The Sharks went on to add another run in the third on a 2-RBI single, 5-2
- The Fighting Knights answered back in the top of the third as
Anabel O'Donnell blasted an RBI double to pull Lynn within two, 5-3
- O'Donnell's quick instincts allowed her to bring the game within one on a passed ball later in the inning, 5-4
- NSU went on to take the lead, scoring four more runs on seven hits throughout the contest to head into the seventh up 9-4
- Lynn fought but ultimately came up scoreless in the seventh as NSU took the series, 9-4

- Lindsey (6-11) went the distance in game one, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks through six innings of work
- She finished the game with three strikeouts
