SPARTANBURG, S.C - No. 1 Lynn volleyball kept its perfect start intact, powering past Fayetteville State in straight sets on Saturday morning to improve to 7-0 on the 2025 season. Behind a balanced attack and a .340 hitting percentage, the Fighting Knights controlled every facet of the match, outpacing the Broncos in kills, aces, blocks, assists, and digs, to cap another commanding performance on the road at the Valkyries Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn defeated Fayetteville State in three sets with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-13
- The Fighting Knights hit for .340 in the match behind 42 kills and 10 miscues on 94 attempts while holding the Broncos to .046 with 20 kills and 16 errors on 87 attempts
- The Blue and White held advantages across the board in kills (42-20), aces (10-2), blocks (4-3), assists (35-20), and digs (43-34)
- Fayetteville State made the first set close, taking a narrow 9-7 lead in the opening points
- Lynn took the lead on a 4-0 run, capped off by a massive block from graduate student

- The Blue and White never looked back in the frame, utilizing a late timeout to explode for a final 5-0 run, capitalized by an ace from junior
Madison Jones to take set one, 25-15
- The Fighting Knights and Broncos opened the second set trading blows back and forth until the dust settled at 4-4 early
- An early kill from sophomore
Lillia Neill sparked a 10-4 spurt for the Blue and White as Lynn led 14-8 heading into Fayetteville State's first timeout of the set
- Lynn cruised to a final 11-3 run which featured seven combined kills from the quartet of Rossi, Neill, freshman

Audrey Shaw as the Fighting Knights took set two, 25-11
- The Fighting Knights rushed out to an 11-5 lead to start the third set, unloading on offense with eight combined kills and a service ace from sophomore
Ula Gorjup
- The Broncos fought back, bringing the set within eight down the stretch before Lynn capped off the third and final set with a block from graduate student

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Rossi recorded her first double-double of the season with a team-best 11 kills and 10 digs
- Rossi currently ranks second in total kills (78) and fourth in kills per set (3.55) in the Sunshine State Conference
- Mogg finished the game with eight kills and nine digs, just shy of a double-double herself
- Mogg also tacked on three service aces, bringing her season total to 19 to lead the conference in the category
- Neill and Olegario were both credited with solo rejections while finishing with five kills apiece
- Neill currently ranks fifth in the SSC in hitting percentage (.414)
- Gorjup put up a match-best 30 assists to surpass the 200 mark for the season, sitting at 222
- Gorjup currently leads the SSC in assists per set at a 10.57 clip

Clara Maidantchik finished the match with 10 digs, bringing her season total to 104 for top-five in the SSC
