CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Lynn women's golf opened the 2025-26 season in strong fashion, finishing second out of 16 teams at the NCAA DII South Regional Preview with a +28 total.
Emilia Koskinen paced the Fighting Knights with a fourth-place individual finish at +2 (74, 70, 74) in a field of 93 golfers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn sat four strokes off the lead after shooting +11 in the opening round
- The Blue and White charged into first pace after the second round by shooting even par and entered the final round tied with Wingate for the lead at +11
- On Monday, Koskinen fired a 70, -2 in round two to tie for the best round of the day
- The Fighting Knights closed with a +17 to finish in second place
- Koskinen entered the final round on Tuesday tied for second and just one shot off the lead
- She shot a -2, 70 in her second round, which included an eagle and 32 on the back nine

Scarlet Weidig opened her Lynn career tied for ninth at +7 (76, 71, 76)
- She was -3 over a five-hole stretch to close her opening round

Leelou Girault finished +10 (77, 72, 77) for T-21st
- She recorded an eagle in round one and added four birdies during her second round 72

Vanessa Ramirez (74, 75, 80) was +13 to tie for 30

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn was the only team under par on Par 5's (-2, 4.97 avg)
- The Fighting Knights had two eagles to tie for the most among all schools over the three rounds

- The Blue and White finished second in pars (160) and third in birdies (33)
- Koskinen led the field in Par 4 scoring (-3, 3.90) while Weidig was third (+2, 4.07)
- Weidig was second in Par 5 scoring (-3, 4.75) and Ramirez was sixth (-2, 4.83)
