ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon and Lynn senior goalkeeper Luca Clavero was named Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, marking his first honor of the 2025 season and the third of his career.

Clavero backstopped the No. 1 Fighting Knights to another strong week, recording his second shutout of the season against Florida Southern in the opening SSC match of the 2025.

The Spanish native has started all five matches in 2025, compiling 450 minutes in goal with just three goals allowed. He leads the SSC with a 0.60 goals-against average, while also posting a .813 save percentage and 13 total saves.

The Fighting Knights return to SSC action at Nova Southeastern University on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 pm.
