ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference has announced its third set of SSC Weekly Awards for the 2025-26 season, and Lynn University sophomore setter
Ula Gorjup has been named Setter of the Week following a stellar showing at the Hyatt Place Bash at the Beach Tournament.
This marks the third SSC weekly honor of Gorjup's career and the second weekly award for Fighting Knights volleyball in 2025.
Gorjup powered Lynn to three tournament victories, earning Co-MVP honors for her all-around play. Over three matches, she directed the Blue and White offense with 106 assists (10.60 per set) and contributed across the board with 24 digs (second on the team), six service aces, eight kills, and eight total blocks (two solo).
Her signature moment came Friday night against Flagler, when she racked up 45 assists, delivered four aces, and added three blocks. Her clutch serving sparked a 12-0 closing run in the fourth set, sealing the win and underscoring her ability to shift momentum in critical moments.
Heading into conference play, Gorjup leads the SSC in assists per set (10.58) and has already amassed 328 assists on the season.
The top-ranked Fighting Knights return home to open SSC competition this weekend, hosting Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, Sept. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
