BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn women's volleyball team saw its historic 23-match winning streak come to an end Saturday night, falling 3-1 to Sunshine State Conference rival No. 9 Barry at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center. The loss marks the first setback for the Fighting Knights in 2025, moving them to 11-1 overall and 1-1 in SSC play despite another standout effort from
Nadia Rossi and a balanced attack across the lineup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn dropped a four-set battle to Barry with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 15-25, 16-25
- Rossi paced the Blue and White with consistent scoring throughout the evening, while setter
Ula Gorjup directed the offense with timely assists and service pressure
- The Fighting Knights fell behind early in the opening frame as Barry used a run of service aces to build a 9-2 lead, forcing a quick timeout
- Lynn responded with kills from
Lillia Neill and Rossi to stay within striking distance, but Barry held its advantage to close the opening set 25-17
- The Blue and White bounced back in set two, trading points with Barry before a spark from
Valentina Mogg and
Aline Olegario ignited a 13-9 surge to put Lynn in control

Clara Maidantchik added a service ace and Rossi delivered multiple kills down the stretch as Lynn evened the match with a 25-19 win in the second set
- Barry's serving pressure returned in the third, as the Buccaneers strung together a decisive 11-2 run to create separation early
- Rossi and Olegario continued to connect with Gorjup to keep the Knights competitive, but Barry maintained momentum for a 25-15 decision
- In the fourth, Lynn came out swinging with kills from Rossi and Mogg to grab early points, but Barry countered with a mid-set push to pull ahead 15-5
- The Fighting Knights made one final push with late kills from
Brooke Jackson, Rossi, and Neill, but the Buccaneers capitalized on late errors to take the set 25-16 and the match, 3-1

- Rossi powered the Lynn attack with a team-high 14 kills and added five digs
- Gorjup directed the offense with 38 assists while contributing seven digs and two aces
