ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its first set of SSC Weekly Awards for the 2025-26 season, and Lynn University sophomore setter Ula Gorjup has been named Setter of the Week following a standout performance in New York.
 
The honor marks the second weekly award of Gorjup's Fighting Knight career and the first for Lynn in 2025.
 
Gorjup directed a balanced and efficient Lynn offense through the opening weekend, guiding the Fighting Knights to a perfect 4-0 record at the Adelphi/Queens Tournament. She totaled a league-best 130 assists across four matches (an average of 10.83 per set) while also adding 10 kills, eight service aces, 16 digs and five blocks.
 
Her best outing came in a 3-1 victory over No. 19 Gannon, where she tallied 42 assists, eight digs, three kills and two blocks.
 
Lynn swept (RV) Adelphi and Queens, while also taking down Wilmington (Del.) in straight sets to complete a dominant start to the 2025 campaign.
 
The Fighting Knights continue non-conference play this weekend at the Valkyries Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C., with matchups against Erskine, Converse and Fayetteville State. Action begins Friday, Sept. 12 at 12 p.m. against Erskine.
