BOCA RATON, Fla. - The No. 20 Lynn University women's tennis team battled top-ranked Barry on Tuesday afternoon at the Perper Tennis Courts but fell short, 5-2, in a Sunshine State Conference matchup.
With the loss, Lynn moves to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights came out sharp in doubles play, claiming two of the three flights to secure the opening point

Lea Cakarevic and
Salma Djoubri followed with a 7-5 win in the third flight against Jenifer Anger and Anastasia Nikolova to clinch the doubles point

Salma Djoubri earned Lynn's lone singles victory in a thriller at No. 1, defeating Ailen Crespo 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 10-8 in a decisive match tiebreak
- At No. 2 singles, Younes fell 6-2, 6-1 to Heimen
- Galmiche battled in the fourth spot but came up short, 6-1, 7-5
- Lia Koshiki Mosimann dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 5 singles
- Cakarevic rounded out singles play at No. 6, falling 6-1, 6-0
