TAMPA, Fla. - The Lynn University men's track & field team turned in a strong all-around performance at the Tampa Spartans Open, highlighted by a podium finish from freshman
Evan Joseph and a runner-up showing in the 4x400-meter relay, as the Fighting Knights gained valuable early-season experience across sprints, hurdles, distance events and relays.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
100 Meters
- In the men's 100 meters,
Jayden Geathers (17th) led the Fighting Knights with a time of 11.72, while
Ethan Poitier (21st) followed in 12.03, as Lynn gained valuable early-season sprint experience
200 Meters
- Joseph highlighted the day with a third-place finish in 21.78, with
Justin Dewar close behind in 22.42
400 Meters

Drew Campbell led the way for Lynn with a 49.95 (7th overall) while Geathers (13th) ran 51.64 and Poitier (17th) posted 52.98
- Lynn added depth in the 400 meters as
Matthew Gusmano (53.35),
Jordan Klim (53.61),
Ari Powers (53.66) and
Roman Ruggiero (54.87) all posted solid times

Andre Nembhard (59.09), Victor Parada Palma (1:01.11) and William Gonzales (1:03.90) rounded out the Fighting Knights' efforts in the event
400m Hurdles
- Freshman
Dylan Michel posted a 58.88 to place eighth overall in his first collegiate event

Renzo Almeida led Lynn in the 3000m with a 9:09.31 (21st) followed by
Anthony Fontanez (10:46.84) in 43rd
Relays
- Lynn's quartet of Geathers, Dewar, Klim and Poitier finished fourth in the 4x100 at 43.75
- Lynn showcased its depth in the men's 4x400-meter relay, as the A squad of Dewar, Kade Ater, Joseph and Zach Ganske turned in a second-place finish with a time of 3:16.58
- Three additional Fighting Knight relay teams also competed and gained valuable experience to close out the meet, placing fifth, seventh and eighth respectively
