MIRAMAR, Fla. - The Lynn Fighting Knights men's track team delivered an impressive showing at the 2026 NSU Shark Invitational, highlighted by a pair of individual victories from
Evan Joseph and a dominant 4x100m relay performance. The Blue and White showcased their depth across the board, recording multiple personal bests, top finishes, and a strong runner-up effort in the 4x400m relay to cap a successful day of competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
5000m

Renzo Almeida led the Fighting Knights in the 5000m, delivering a strong effort to place seventh overall with a time of 15:58.42 (personal-best)

Anthony Fontanez added depth for the Blue and White, crossing the line in 20:13.89 to round out Lynn's performances in the event
4x100m Relay
- Lynn's 4x100m relay team of
Evan Joseph,
Abraham Ater,
Justin Dewar and
Drew Campbell delivered a dominant performance, capturing first place with a time of 41.46
- The Fighting Knights executed clean exchanges and surged ahead of the field, finishing ahead of St. Thomas and Barry to secure the event win

- Geathers delivered a strong performance for the Fighting Knights, placing second overall with a time of 57.02, narrowly missing the top spot

- Rigaud followed with an eighth-place finish (59.91), while Hobbs rounded out the group at 11th overall (1:06.44)

- Joseph led the way for the Fighting Knights with a first-place finish and winning time of 21.63, edging the field in a tight top heat for his second individual victory of the afternoon
- Campbell added a strong showing in the same heat, placing third overall at 21.93 to give Lynn two top-five finishers in the event
1500m
- Almeida paced the Fighting Knights in the top section, staying competitive through the first three laps before finishing 25th overall with a time of 4:24.09
- Ruggiero followed with a steady effort in a later section, clocking 4:38.84, while Juliano added a 4:42.35 finish
4x400 Relay
- The Fighting Knights' A squad of
Justin Dewar,
Jayden Geathers, Michail Michel and
Evan Joseph delivered a strong performance, finishing second overall with a time of 3:21.32
- Lynn stayed in contention throughout the race, using a strong anchor leg from Joseph to secure the runner-up spot behind Nova Southeastern
- The Blue and White showcased depth with two additional squads, as the Lynn C team placed fourth (3:39.64) and the Lynn B team finished fifth (3:41.86)
