No. 4 Lynn rolls past PBA 17-4 in SSC contest

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The No. 4 Lynn University women's lacrosse team delivered a dominant all-around performance in Sunshine State Conference action, cruising past Palm Beach Atlantic, 17-4, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Fighting Knights improve to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the SSC.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn controlled the game from the opening draw, scoring four unanswered goals in the first quarter, including a pair from Rebecca Clark to take a 4-0 lead
- The Blue and White broke the game open in the second quarter, netting seven goals, highlighted by multiple strikes from Clark and Angelia Huggins to build an 11-0 advantage
- Olivia Hamm, Sara Williams and Grayson Lunardi each added goals as Lynn dominated possession heading into halftime
- Lynn extended its run to open the third quarter with back-to-back goals from Izzy Vieni and Jordan Bartels, pushing the lead to 13-0
- Palm Beach Atlantic answered with two goals midway through the third, but Elizabeth Clagett responded late in the quarter to keep Lynn in control at 14-2
- Clagett opened the fourth with two more goals, while Hannah Exley capped the scoring with a man-up goal to secure the 17-4 victory

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn finished with 17 goals on 29 shots and held a 29-13 advantage in total shots
- The Fighting Knights forced 18 turnovers while going 10-of-11 on clears
- Clark led all scorers with four goals and two assists, while Huggins added six points on two goals and four assists
- Clagett recorded a hat trick and Bartels added two goals
- Additional contributions came from Vieni, Madison Smith, Hamm, Williams, Lunardi and Hannah Exley, showcasing Lynn's depth offensively
- Danielle Farinas recorded two assists, while Camryn Spiller and Ella Timperio each added a helper
- Defensively, Kaya Langford, Grace Werle and Emily Solomon helped limit PBA's opportunities, while Ava Ceglia earned the win with three saves
- Lynn featured 10 different goal scorers in the victory
- Lynn improves to 7-1 all-time against Palm Beach Atlantic
- The Fighting Knights have won seven straight meetings against the Sailfish
- Lynn has outscored PBA 133-63 in the all-time series
- The last loss to Palm Beach Atlantic came on March 31, 2021
