ORLANDO, Fla. - The Lynn University women's tennis team upset No. 24 Wingate University with a 4-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus.
With the win, the Blue and White improves to 5-2 overall in 2026.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn captured the doubles point with wins on the first and second courts
- At No. 1 doubles, Carla Galmiche and Kristen Younes earned a 6-3 victory over Anastasia Oktiabreve and Daniela Kotara
- Salma Djoubri and Lea Cakarevic secured the point at No. 2 doubles with a dominant 6-1 decision against Fernanda Castillo and Honomi Wantanbe
- In singles play, Djoubri set the tone at No. 1 with a commanding 6-0 victory over Oktiabreve
- Younes followed at No. 2 singles, defeating Claudia Vallejos in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2
- Cakarevic clinched the match at No. 5 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kotara
- Singles matches at Nos. 3, 4 and 6 were left unfinished following the clinch
