BARTOW, Fla. - The Lynn University softball team continued its strong run at The Spring Games on Sunday, picking up a pair of extra-inning victories to extend its winning streak to six games. The Fighting Knights rallied past Clarion in walk-off fashion, 7-6, before grinding out a 7-5 win over American International later in the afternoon. With the sweep, Lynn improves to 4-0 at The Spring Games and carries momentum into the last two days of its tenure at the tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED (vs. Clarion):
- Lynn threatened early in the first inning as
Kyleigh Hope and
Onnalee Floriano recorded back-to-back singles, but Clarion escaped the frame to keep the game scoreless
- The Fighting Knights broke through in the second when
Marina Goins and
Cara Willis opened the inning with singles before a passed ball allowed Willis to score and
Kaela Santiago followed with a sacrifice bunt RBI to give Lynn a 2-0 lead
- Clarion answered in the third with a pair of RBI plays, including a run-scoring single to tie the game at 2-2
- Lynn responded immediately in the bottom half as
Teagan Riley ripped a two-run double to left field to plate Hope and Floriano before a sacrifice fly from Goins and another Clarion miscue pushed the Fighting Knights ahead 6-2
- The Golden Eagles mounted a comeback in the fifth, stringing together key hits and drawing a bases-loaded walk before a run-scoring single capped a four-run inning to even the score at 6-6
- Both pitching staffs settled in over the next two innings as the teams traded scoreless frames heading into extra innings
- In the eighth, Lynn capitalized on the tiebreaker rule as
Kylie Burden moved to third on a stolen base before Goins dropped down a perfectly placed bunt single to bring home the winning run and lift the Fighting Knights to a 7-6 walk-off victory

Quinn Lockhart got things rolling for Lynn in the second game of the afternoon with a leadoff walk and stolen base before capitalizing on an error to take a 1-0 lead in the first
- American International responded with a flurry of hits in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-1 lead
- Lynn responded in the second inning, capitalizing on several defensive miscues by the Yellow Jackets

Kaela Santiago singled before a series of throwing errors allowed the Fighting Knights to score four runs and move ahead 5-3
- The Yellow Jackets trimmed the deficit in the third with an RBI groundout to make it 5-4
- American International tied the contest in the fifth inning when a run scored on a Lynn fielding error, evening the game at 5-5

- Lockhart was a spark at the top of the lineup, reaching base three times with one hit and two walks while scoring three runs and swiping three stolen bases
- Ellis delivered a strong two-way performance, going 2-for-4 with a double at the plate while also earning the win in the circle after tossing eight innings and allowing just one earned run
- Riley contributed a multi-hit effort, finishing 2-for-4 as one of four Fighting Knights with multiple hits in the contest
- Goins added an extra-base hit with a double, while Santiago chipped in with a hit and a stolen base as Lynn totaled nine hits in the contest
- Hope delivered a clutch RBI single in the eighth inning that helped break the tie and put Lynn back in front
- Floriano added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth, giving the Fighting Knights the final 7-5 margin
