DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Lynn University men's lacrosse team dropped a Sunshine State Conference road contest to Embry-Riddle, 12-6, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Fighting Knights move to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Embry-Riddle struck early with three goals in the opening minutes to take a 3-0 lead before
Landon Scully got Lynn on the board midway through the first
- The Eagles carried a 4-1 advantage into the second quarter before Scully added his second goal to cut into the deficit

Cullen Trent found the back of the net off an assist from
Connor Zombro to make it a one-goal game at 4-3 with 6:30 remaining in the half
- Embry-Riddle responded with three late second-quarter goals to take a 7-3 lead into halftime
- The hosts extended their lead to 9-3 early in the third before Trent answered with his second goal, assisted by

Mario Leone followed with a goal just over a minute later to bring Lynn within four at 9-5
- Embry-Riddle closed the third quarter with another score and added one early in the fourth to push the lead to 11-5
- Trent completed his hat trick early in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles added a late goal to seal the 12-6 final
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Trent led Lynn with a hat trick, marking his first three-goal performance of the season
