FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The No. 10 Lynn University women's tennis team fell to No. 5 Nova Southeastern University, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Tournament Friday afternoon.
The Fighting Knights conclude the 2025-26 season with a 12-9 overall record and a 5-4 mark in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nova Southeastern secured the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead
- The Sharks earned a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles and claimed a win by default at No. 3 to seal the point
- In singles play,
Hailey Lizano battled at the No. 4 position but fell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4
- NSU clinched the match with a win by default at No. 6 singles
- Matches at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 singles were left unfinished as the Sharks reached the four-point threshold
